Welcome to The Door Christian Church in Redlands!

Christian Church in Redlands PastorPastor Rich Cox, his wife Brenda, and The Door Christian Church in Redlands would like to welcome you to our website. We thank you for visiting us online and encourage you to attend our praise and worship services as well as upcoming events. We are a Christian church in Redlands that delivers the gospel uncut and in its entirety, and we welcome you to join us in our service to God and our mission to help lead people into their own personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We usher the life changing presence of God into our services with songs, praise, and worship. This time of praise and worship “builds us up”, and sets the tone for the preaching of the Word of God. Our congregation would love to have you visit us during our services or special events. We are in the business of reaching the world for Jesus Christ and would love to have you be part of what God is doing at The Door!

The Mission of The Door Christian Church in Redlands

At our Christian church in Redlands, we have a mission. The Door Christian Fellowship takes seriously Christ’s commission to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Therefore, our mission both as a fellowship and a local Christian church in Redlands has always been to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission through discipleship, church planting and world evangelism. It was Christ Himself who commanded His followers to make disciples of all the nations. Simple obedience to this command by our founding Pastor Wayman Mitchell has paid rich dividends in souls, and has become the vision of our Fellowship. As a Fellowship we now have over 1900 churches in 114 countries. Our Christian Church in Redlands is part of this Great Commission.

The Door's Global Vision - Christian Church in Redlands

With this world vision in focus, though we are one Christian church in Redlands, we are constantly endeavoring to reach unsaved and un-churched people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Spreading the good news of God’s love and saving grace throughout the entire world has always been and always will be the mission of our church in Redlands. Whether we use Christian bands, movies, dramas, street preaching or door-to-door evangelism, our focus is to help lead people into their own personal relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ.

Our Continuing Effort – Locally & Globally Reaching People for Jesus

As a local Christian church in Redlands, we put much effort into helping other churches in surrounding cities. As part of our ongoing commitment to evangelism, we also send impact teams to these churches to assist them in reaching the lost and unchurched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Teams from our Christian church in Redlands volunteer to give a full day of outreach for our fellow churches so that we can co-labor making much larger impact than they could alone. The Door Christian Church in Redlands is constantly interacting with our other churches in the field to assure them of our continued support and care for them as they labor for Christ.

This is a continuing effort that will not be completed until the return of Christ for His Church. Each of us, as Born Again Christians, have a responsibility to give of our time and effort to bring a message of hope and change to those who are without Christ. This commandment of Christ should keep our focus outward to a world in need of hope. We have the answers for a hurting world and desire to make every effort to reach the lost.

Salvation: What it Means and How to Obtain it

In order to be saved, you must know what the term saved means. Being saved simply means that we are saved from our sins. Sin is what separates us from God, and if we do not repent and receive forgiveness, that separation is eternal. We have all sinned, therefore without salvation, we have no hope. Knowing and understanding we are sinners is the very first step in becoming saved. When we admit our need then can God save us.

Romans 3:23-24

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Because we have all sinned, a price has to be paid. That price is the price of blood. The hope that we have is in Christ, for He paid this debt in our place in order to give us eternal life. When He shed His blood on the Cross, the price was paid for all of us if we would accept that sacrifice through faith in His name.

Hebrew 9:14

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:22

And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

The price to cover our sins was owed by us, but God in His Love for us, gave of Himself for us.

1 Peter 1:18-19

18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So understanding what salvation is, and that it is our sin that sets a death penalty upon us, we must simply accept the gift of God of eternal life through Jesus. This is accomplished first by confessing with our mouths that He is Lord. Second by repenting or turning away from our sin, and believing that He is the Messiah the Savior of the world and only Son of God. Third that we believe He has risen from the dead as a sign that His sacrifice was accepted and that death is defeated. If we do these things than salvation is given to us freely through His sacrifice on the Cross.

Romans 10:9

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Once saved you need to begin to attend the church of your choice. We invite you to come and visit The Door Church in Redlands to begin your journey with Christ in your new life of salvation.

Revelation 3:20

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
